【Optional Tour】The 8th Haruki Murakami International Symposium

Optional Tour

1. Time
22nd July (Monday)

2. Content
A tour around Niupu, Bifuka of Hokkaido where it is a setting stage for The Wild Sheep Chase, one of Murakami's many works. The staff will be introducing may places related to those that are told in Murakami's work. (Participants will be bearing their respective costs).

3. Transportation
a. Participants may ride on the Super Soya express train departing on 0730 at Sapporo Station on 22nd July (One-way free seating tickets costs ¥7,130). Train will arrive at Bifuka Station at 1015 hrs without any transfers. Staff will be awaiting at Bifuka Station. Staff will be bringing participants around after that. 

b. Participants may also board a bus from Sapporo to Bifuka on the Soya Bus "Esashi" departing at 1130 hrs (One-way ticket costs ¥4,000). For participants travelling by bus, the estimated time of arrival at Bifuka would be around 1520 hrs, and partifcipants will not be able to participate in the on-site tour. Participants would be escorted directly to accomodation. Furthermore, advanced reservation is required (Tel. 011-241-0241).
